Jean-Pierre
Founder, Massage Therapist, Author
Background
Jean‑Pierre is a licensed massage therapist, animal specialist, lecturer and internationally published author with more than 40 years of experience. He started in human sport massage and myofascial work, then progressively dedicated his practice to horses and dogs, developing a distinctive approach that became the Animal Massage Awareness Method©.
Books and publications
He is the author of Equine Massage: A Practical Guide, a fully revised reference with more than 180 photographs and diagrams covering massage movements, routines, anatomy, kinesiology, stretching and hydrotherapy – and of Canine Massage: A Complete Reference Manual, with over 100 illustrations and practical routines.
Both books are translated into many languages, reviewed in publications such as Whole Dog Journal, and used by practitioners worldwide as core references. You can find all of Jean‑Pierre’s books in the Books & Manuals section of our store.
Teaching and the method
For many years Jean‑Pierre has taught workshops and certification programs in North America and Europe, training veterinarians, vet techs, physiotherapists, riders, groomers and animal owners.
At Animal Massage Awareness he designs the curricula, records the technical video lessons and oversees the structure of the equine and canine programs so that each module fits into a coherent method – and he keeps working on new advanced continuing‑education programs.

Natacha
Holistic Practitioner
Natacha brings an international perspective with more than 20 years of experience as a veterinary technician and a broad holistic toolbox: massage therapy, craniosacral work, animal communication, Bach flower remedies, energy work and geobiology.
Her years in small‑animal medicine and surgery give her a realistic, clinical understanding of what animals go through and how to stay within safe limits as a bodyworker. At Animal Massage Awareness she co‑designs the method’s holistic dimension and plays a key role in student support.

How we work together
Together, Jean‑Pierre and Natacha combine formal massage science and biomechanics with animal communication and holistic care – a perspective built over decades of practice, teaching and collaboration.
A dual perspective
One foot in formal massage science and biomechanics, one foot in animal communication and holistic care – the two views inform every lesson.
A strong focus on education
Workshops, podcasts, online courses and free resources designed to empower owners and professionals to help their animals safely.
Working with care teams
A long track record of collaboration with vets, physios, trainers and groomers makes the method compatible with real‑world care teams.
